It turns out that iTunes 8 does in fact add a feature that Steve Jobs neglected to mention during the keynote yesterday. iTunes 8 now prevents users from installing iPhone-only apps from the App Store on the iPod touch, whereas 7.7 did not. One staff member with iPhone Atlas attempted to sync his iPod touch with the new version of iTunes, and received the following dialogue box (after the break):
